● CURIOUS BACK STORY: Lead singer "Meat Loaf" (real name Marvin Lee Aday) partially got his name from birth, when his father called him "Meat," as he was born bright red and looked like "nine-and-a-half pounds of ground chuck." A few years later, as a large teenager, he accidentally stepped on his high school football coach's foot and was called "Get off my foot, you hunk of Meatloaf!". This latter incident ultimately led to his full nickname of "Meat Loaf," which stuck with him throughout the remainder of his adult life.
● ABOUT THIS SONG: "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (On a Hot Summer Night)" was the first single released from the very successful 1970's "Like a Bat Out of Hell" album.
