On board a Eastchester–Dyre Ave. bound R142 2 train from Brooklyn College to Eastchester-Dyre Ave.

Seen here is a ride on a 2 train, operated by R142, bound for Eastchester–Dyre Avenue.

Due to structural work along White Plains Road, 2 train service ran along the 5 line to Eastchester-Dyre Avenue in both directions. 5 train service was suspended between 149 Street-Grand Concourse and Eastchester-Dyre Avenue. Passengers who want service to Wakefield-241 Street would have to change for free shuttle bus service at East 180 Street.

During this ride, I managed to catch this 2 train coming in from the front platform of track 4, since there are custodians trying to redirect me to the other platform, thinking I was trying to look for when the next 2 train will depart on, but I rather catch the next one since I wasn’t in no rush to catch the 2 train leaving from track 3. Plus I tried not to move around too much with my arm, since it was getting tired when I was sitting by the window too long during the ride, and I had to stop the video at East 180 Street due to being held up by a while until they clear track from the workers who are doing work around there, and get moving towards the next stop.

In the end, I managed to stay on the same R142 and took it down to 149 Street-Grand Concourse where I saw it departed from there towards Brooklyn. However, they were doing construction work with accessibility in the front, and there were cops at the middle of the station, so I tried to be careful when I did my recording and moved back a little until it closed down and left the station. The ride seemed ok to go for since it was going up on the 5 line to Eastchester-Dyre Avenue, but it got crowded by the time we got to 34 Street-Penn Station and Times Square, so I had to be careful when it comes to being around others until it got empty. But it was alright without no disruptions whatsoever, and made it safely to the terminal without any homelessness or politics involved.
