World Champion Detroit Tigers in their home opener 1984, original WDIV Broadcast with George Kell and Al Kaline from Tiger Stadium.Starting pitchers in the opener RHP (0-1) Dave Stewart for Kansas City and RHP Dan Petry (1-0) for the home town Tigers. Recorded and Digitalized off an original recorded VHS tape and has been recently restored. Ive seen other versions of this game on YouTube before, but this is off the original master recorded for the best quality picture and sound.
Petry has a great outing, pitching a complete game giving up just 1 run (in the first inning) on 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Ranger starter Dave Stewart never gets out of the first inning as Detroit picks up 4 runs including a 3-run HR from 1B Darrell Evans and proved to be the game winner.The WDIV Broadcast includes the pre-game show with Eli Zaret.
