Jack Jones sadly passed away on 23rd October aged 86, Jack was a huge star in the US, but that success didn't cross the pond so well.
Jack did achieve 6 hit albums in the UK during the 1970's, 5 of them reached the top 10 but he never had a charting single.
'The Impossible Dream' sometimes subtitled 'The Quest' as from the musical 'The Man From La Mancha' it has become a standard recorded by many and varied greats from Frank Sinatra to Placido Domingo, from Elvis to Christopher Lee. the first hit version however was this version by Jack which reached ## in the US.
