Noel Scott Engel better known as Scott Walker lead singer of the US band The Walker Brothers, he lived in England from 1965 taking British Citizenship in 1970.
When the Walker Brothers split in 1967 Scott pursued a solo career, he took inspiration from Belgian composer Jacques Brel. His first solo single after the break up was a Brel composition, translated and adapted by Mort Shuman, arranged by the great Wally Stott (Angela Morley), despite Scott's huge pop pin up image his first hit only reached #22 in the UK
