For Grand Rounds, we have another Clinical Problem Solving (CPS) case to allow listeners to watch in real time how master clinicians reason through challenging cases. While getting the diagnosis “right” is amazing to see, the true learning comes from witnessing how experts navigate the zigs and zags of a diagnostic journey in a case that unfurls in real time (as it does in life, of course).
Our discussant will be Sarah Goglin, MD. Sarah specializes in rheumatology, with a clinical focus on the systemic vasculitides and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. She holds multiple leadership roles in medical education at UCSF. She is the associate chief of education in the Division of Rheumatology at UCSF, where she oversees educational strategy and curriculum development for medical students, medicine residents, and rheumatology fellows. She is the associate program director of the UCSF Rheumatology Fellowship and an associate program director in the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency. Nationally, she is a member of the American College of Rheumatology In-Training Exam task force. Following the case discussion, Parnassus Chief Residents Anna Fretz, MD, MHS and Viridiana Garcia, MD, MS will offer some key teaching points based on their case preparation.
Note: Closed captions will be available within 48-72 hours after posting.
