People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) are a large population experiencing health disparities in the United States. This seminar addresses efforts to improve health literacy and best practices for engagement in clinical health settings. Using plain language, graphic medicine, and participatory research, the panelists address health promotion efforts that may reach this particular population with the goal of better health outcomes.
