F2 Q1: My biggest concern in Co-op City is our everyday quality of life. One issue that is heavy on my mind is how to be proactive about dealing with dog owners’ negligence to curb their dogs and pick up their poop. This is a growing and unhealthy issue that will only get worse as the number of dogs in Co-op increases. I moved here because Riverbay had a no-dog mandate. We are now entering the elevators with dogs as big as small horses. Please help us that do not want large dogs in our homes.
F2 Q2: What can be done to bring more cable companies and high-speed wireless service to Co-op City? If you are elected what would you do to lower costs, improve the quality of cable service, or improve access to high-speed wireless service?
F2 Q3: In an effort to achieve more accountability and access to our Public Safety professionals how will you implement a plan to have the Public Safety Chief answer questions from cooperators and board members in an open forum? Chief Joseph Riley has been deploying CCPD officers in 6, 9, and 12 persons per shift. How do those candidates who call to increasing the visibility of CCPD propose to do so?
F2 Q4: Many shareholders do not participate in our community. They don’t attend Building Association or Town Hall meetings. They don’t keep themselves informed by reading the Co-op City Times or the community newsletter. They don’t serve on committees, they don’t run for the board and historically 2/3 of our shareholders do not vote. What ideas do you have on how to encourage shareholders to be more engaged in our community?
