Since the 1970's, NAPSA has promulgated Standards that describe the essential features of and the best and promising practices for effective pretrial systems and agencies. This session will describe revisions to the Release Standards made in 2024 and the trends in practice, caselaw, and research that have helped to reshape the pretrial justice landscape since 2020.
