Homemade Caramel Recipe:
1 Cup unsalted butter
2 1/4 Cups Brown Sugar (packed down with a spoon)
1 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 Can of Evaporated Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
I found and adapted this recipe from www.giverslog.com. Thanks AmberLee for this wonderful recipe!
Things you'll need:
3 Quart Pan, heavy bottom (a straight sided pan will work better than my slopey one, but mine works just fine)
Whisk
Candy Thermometer (I have a Taylor candy thermometer from Target)
Parchment Paper
Butter
8x8 brownie/cake pan
