The Paddock Viaduct opened in 1914 and instantly rewrote Fort Worth’s skyline, carrying North Main over the Trinity on the first reinforced-concrete arches in Texas. In this film we walk the span’s full story, from the 1913 flood that demanded something stronger, to the bold “ball and socket” joints that still flex a century later, to the quiet role the bridge plays linking downtown to the Stockyards today.
