This session introduces the principle of Radical Ownership: stepping out of default thinking, inherited norms, and “this is just how designers do it”, and instead taking responsibility for shaping a business that genuinely works for you.

We explore:
• What a business model really is (and why it’s not just a list of services)
• Why who your clients are must come before what you offer
• How local market realities should influence pricing, positioning, and scope
• The risks of copying competitors without understanding context
• How to begin shaping a thoughtful, market-relevant suite of services

This is a grounding session, designed to help you stop reacting and start designing your business with intent – so that later conversations about money, marketing, and visibility are built on solid foundations.

By the end of this session, you should be clearer about:

• The assumptions you may need to question
