PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets World Liberty Financial USA Delegation

A delegation of World Liberty Financial, led by its Chief Executive Officer Zachary Witkoff, called on Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The Prime Minister, along with Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Pakistan and SC Financial Technologies LLC.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared his vision for Digital Pakistan, underscoring the critical role of digital payments, financial innovation, and secure technology platforms in promoting connectivity, transparency, and sustainable economic growth. He welcomed the growing global interest in Pakistan’s digital financial markets and emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a robust, innovation-friendly digital ecosystem.

The World Liberty Financial delegation expressed strong interest in partnering with Pakistan to develop a secure and transparent digital payment system, including cross-border settlements and foreign exchange innovations. The delegation praised Pakistan’s progressive policy and regulatory framework, noting its importance in supporting the country’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

The engagement reflects Pakistan’s increasing appeal as a destination for global fintech partnerships and reinforces the government’s focus on leveraging technology to drive economic transformation.
