Federal Cabinet Meeting | PM Shehbaz Sharif on Economy, Security, and Growth

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing a meeting of the Federal Cabinet, highlighted key achievements and ongoing initiatives across Pakistan’s economy, defence, infrastructure, education, and security sectors.

The Prime Minister stated that an MoU has been signed with World Liberty Financial, which will benefit Pakistan’s economy and reflects growing international confidence. He noted that Pakistan has demonstrated notable economic progress in a short span of time, laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth.

Referring to Pakistan’s recent success in Ma‘arka-e-Haq, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif informed the Cabinet that global demand for Pakistan’s aircraft has increased, with several countries expressing interest in acquiring them. He said this development will positively impact the national economy. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism completely, emphasizing that security forces remain fully committed to eradicating this threat. He also highlighted the successful testing of the Taimur weapon system as a major milestone in strengthening defence capabilities.

On infrastructure development, the Prime Minister stated that work has begun on the Karachi–Chaman highway, a strategic route approximately 850 kilometers long, with an estimated cost of Rs. 400 billion. He directed that the project be completed within one year instead of two. Additionally, he announced the completion of the solarisation of tube wells in Balochistan under the agriculture package at a cost of Rs. 75 billion, providing relief to farmers and promoting sustainability.

Highlighting education reforms, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that construction of Danesh Schools in Balochistan is underway. He recalled that foundation stones for five schools were laid earlier, with two more added, bringing the total to seven Danesh Schools, all of which will be completed by the end of this year.

Concluding his remarks, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan has achieved economic stability and will now move decisively toward economic growth and national development.
