Anello del Catinaccio | Notte nel Locale Invernale del Rifugio Antermoia

Giro ad anello del Catinaccio con pernotto nel locale invernale del Rifugio Antermoia. Partenza da Mazzin (1380 m.) in val di Fassa. Percorrendo il sentiero 577 ho attraversato la val di Dona e sono arrivato all'omonimo rifugio, posto a quota 2099 metri, dove ho effettuato una pausa. Da qui si segue il sentiero 580 diretto al Pas de Dona (2516 m.). Finalmente dal passo si apre la vista sul vallon di Antermoia e sul rifugio, situato in posizione invidiabile nei pressi del famoso lago a quota 2496 metri. Dopo aver passato la notte nella stanza invernale, ho proseguito prendendo il sentiero 584 che, nella parte conclusiva costeggia la parete orientale del Catinaccio d'Antermoia e porta al passo di Antermoia (2770 m.). Qui la vista si apre improvvisamente in maniera spettacolare sul Catinaccio e sulle Torri del Vajolet. Una discesa piuttosto rapida porta poi al Passo Principe e all'omonimo rifugio (2601 m.). Da qui in breve si raggiungono i rifugi Vajolet e Preuss (2243 m.), posti sulla sommità delle Porte Neigre al cospetto della parete sud-est del Catinaccio, delle torri del Vajolet e della punta Emma. Si prosegue poi la discesa per il sentiero 546 in direzione dei rifugi Stella Alpina e Gardeccia a quota 1949 metri. Da qui una strada asfaltata porta prima a Muncion e infine a Mazzin. Escursione di circa 28 km e 1600 metri di dislivello.

Loop hike around the Catinaccio with overnight stay in the winter room of the Antermoia hut. Departure from Mazzin (1380 m) in Val di Fassa. Following trail 577, I hiked through Val di Dona and arrived at the Dona hut, located at an altitude of 2099 metres, where I took a break. From here, I followed trail 580 to Pas de Dona (2516 m). Finally, from the pass, I had a view of the Antermoia valley and the hut, located in an enviable position near the famous lake at an altitude of 2496 metres. After spending the night in the winter room, I continued along trail 584, which, in its final section, runs along the eastern face of the Catinaccio d'Antermoia and leads to the Antermoia pass (2770 m). Here, the view suddenly opens up spectacularly onto the Catinaccio and the Torri del Vajolet. A fairly fast descent then leads to the Principe Pass and the hut of the same name (2601 m). From here, it is a short walk to the Vajolet and Preuss huts (2243 m), located on the summit of the Porte Neigre in front of the south-east face of the Catinaccio, the Vajolet towers and Punta Emma. The descent then continues along trail 546 towards the Stella Alpina and Gardeccia huts at an altitude of 1949 metres. From here, a paved road leads first to Muncion and finally to Mazzin. The hike is approximately 28 km long with an elevation gain of 1600 meters.
