How to Insulate a Campervan with Havelock Wool

Welcome back for another episode of our second Sprinter van build. This is a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter 170. If you are new here welcome! We are Keith and Hannah and we are building another van but this time we are building for someone else who is a solo female traveling with her dog. She had a dream of how she wanted her van to function for the two of them and we are doing everything we can to make that dream come to life. So stay tuned for the layout and see how it turns out.

In this episode, we are insulating the van using Havelock Wool. This is our favorite product because it has all of the best properties you want in a campervan, like moisture control, sound dampening, high R-value, and so much more. Plus it's non-toxic and very easy to work with. No need to wear gloves and a mask or worry about itching with using Havelock wool. We go through everything you need to know and tips and tricks that will help you in making sure your van is insulated properly for all the adventures you may have in store for vanlife.

We are doing this yet again in the Indiana winter which we told ourselves we would not do again after building our van in those conditions but here we are again. This time we at least have a space indoors which is a plus. We hope you enjoy and follow along for the entire series of this van build.
