Jessica was well on her way down a destructive path as a young student at-risk of dropping out of school. Missing over 200 classes in one term, Jessica came to realize that she was falling behind her peers and signed herself into an alternate secondary school to see if it would help her become motivated in learning. What she experienced surprised her – Jessica learned that she was a leader!
Jessica Lizotte is currently a grade 12 Langley School District student. As a member of her school’s leadership class, Jessica has become an outspoken advocate for social and cultural change within our public education system.
