To ensure the best experience for young children as well as their parents, the resort is equipped with a children’s play area and indoor games section (table tennis, carom, etc.). The resort also has huge garden areas where guests can relax and listen to the sweet chirping of birds all day.

Guided farm visits are also arranged on prior requests. During the farm visit the guests are educated about the methods that we use and the care that is required for organic farming of mangoes and vegetables. The farm visits are a wonderful and enriching experience for our guests, especially the young children.

One can take short walks into the adjoining forest, to observe Birdlife, Reptiles and enjoy the rich biodiversity of Gir Jungle. It is quite a common scene for our guests to spot crocodiles from the balcony of their River view rooms early morning.

About Gir forest, Sasan
Gir forest is the last home of Asiatic Lion (Panthera leo persica). The count of 2,375 distinct fauna species of Gir includes about 38 species of mammals, around 300 species of birds, 37 species of reptiles and more than 2,000 species of insects.

The carnivores group mainly comprises the Asiatic lion, Indian leopard, jungle cat, striped hyena, golden jackal, Bengal fox, Indian gray mongoose.

The main herbivores of Gir are chital, nilgai, sambar, four-horned antelope, chinkara and wild boar.The reptiles are represented by the mugger crocodile, Indian cobra, tortoise and monitor lizard which inhabit the sanctuary's bodies of water. Snakes are found in the bush and forest. Pythons are sighted at times along the stream banks.

The plentiful avifauna population has more than 300 species of birds, most of which are resident. The scavenger group of birds has 6 recorded species of vultures.
