John Twist writes: "Many MGs were supplied with Skinners Union carburetors because SU was part of the Nuffield organization since 1925 (later called the British Motor Corporation). SU carbs are not common in North America so their simplicity and reliability is often misunderstood. As a result, many different carburetion systems have been adapted to MGs."
