Hiroshima is one of the must-visit destinations when traveling to Japan.
In this trip, I explored Itsukushima Shrine, Mt. Misen, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and the Atomic Bomb Dome—each offering powerful history and unforgettable experiences.

⛩ Itsukushima Shrine (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Famous for its iconic “floating torii gate,” the shrine appears to rise from the sea during high tide. With over 1,400 years of history, Miyajima has long been considered a sacred island where the gods reside. It’s one of the most unique and spiritual places in Japan.

⛰ Mt. Misen
The highest peak on Miyajima and a holy mountain where the monk Kobo Daishi once practiced ascetic training. The view from the summit—overlooking the Seto Inland Sea and scattered islands—is breathtaking and considered part of the World Heritage landscape.

🍳 Hiroshima Okonomiyaki
A beloved local dish layered with noodles, cabbage, pork, and a sweet-savory sauce. It’s Hiroshima’s signature comfort food and a must-try for every visitor.

☮ Atomic Bomb Dome (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
One of the few structures that survived near the hypocenter of the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945. The preserved ruins serve as a powerful reminder of the devastation of war and the importance of peace. It stands as a message to the world that such tragedy must never happen again.

Hiroshima is a city where beauty and history coexist, leaving every visitor with deep reflections and unforgettable memories.

日本に来たら絶対に訪れてほしい場所、広島。
今回は 厳島神社（いつくしまじんじゃ）、弥山（みせん）、広島お好み焼き、そして 原爆ドーム を巡りました。

⛩ 厳島神社（World Heritage Site）
海の上に浮かぶように建てられた社殿は、日本でも唯一無二の存在です。満潮時には鳥居が海に沈むように見え、干潮時には歩いて近くまで行ける神秘的な場所。1400年以上の歴史を持ち、古くから「神が宿る島」とされてきました。

⛰ 弥山（みせん）
宮島の最高峰で、弘法大師空海が修行したと伝えられる神聖な山。山頂からの瀬戸内海の絶景は「世界遺産の景観」の一部にもなっており、日本屈指の眺望を楽しめます。

🍳 広島お好み焼き
広島の名物といえばこれ！麺が入ったボリューム満点のスタイルで、地元の人にも長く愛されるソウルフードです。

☮ 原爆ドーム（World Heritage Site）
1945年8月6日の原爆の惨禍を今に伝える建物。崩れながらも残ったその姿は、戦争の悲惨さと平和の大切さを強く訴えかけてきます。世界で唯一、原爆の爆心地近くで残った建造物として保存され、世界中から訪れる人々に深いメッセージを伝え続けています。

広島は美しさと歴史が共存する場所。心が揺さぶられる旅になりました。
