FROM FREE TO FREAKIN' EXPENSIVE! How Formula One's UK Broadcasts Evolved

I used to watch Formula One on telly every time it was on, when I was a kid. Then in my early 20s it went behind the Sky Sports paywall, joining my other favourite sport- Football.

And in recent years there has been more and more disgust with paywall TV, with Sky's prices going up and up and up, and some people paying £80 and up for their sports packages. ON TOP of their regular subscription. I don't condone it, but is it any wonder that these iffy sticks are a thing?

But it's interesting how F1 went from being something that occasionally was on Grandstand on the BBC, to this paywall thing that's on seemingly every week. How did it get here? Let's have a look.
