Carl's Cove Easy Hike Trail is a short and easy trail. The trail's name comes from long time Pine Mountain Trail Association (PMTA) trail maintenance supervisor Carl Carlson, who led hikes and workshops from 1995 until shortly before his death in 2019. One of his desires was to have a trail such as this.
I've been coming to this park for the past 15 years. Prior to the building of this trail in 2022, this was an unused area that was heavily covered with storm debris and blowdowns. This trail is a nice addition to F. D. Roosevelt State Park, Pine Mountain, Georgia.
