యువరాజైన విరోచనుడు తన తండ్రి ప్రహ్లాదుడు సుధన్వుడిని కలుసుకొనుటకు వచ్చినార అని అతని ప్రశ్నించెను ,సుధన్వుడు మహారాజుని తమ సమస్యకు న్యాయకత్వమును వహించి తుది నిర్ణయమును తెలుపమని కోరెను ,ఆ నిర్ణయమునకు తాను కట్టుబడి ఉంటానని మహారాజుకు తెలిపెనని సుధన్వుడు విరోచనుడితో వివరించెను .విరోచనుడు ప్రహ్లాదుడి నిర్ణయము తనకు అనుకూలముగా ఉండునని దృఢముగా నమ్మినందు వలన సుధన్వుడిపై సానుభూతి వ్యక్తం చేశెను .ప్రహ్లాదు తన కుమారుడి ఫై గల పేమతో అతనిపై కరుణ చూపుటకు నిరాకరించెను .తల్లి కయాదు ఆ సమస్యను క్షుణ్ణముగా పరిశీలించి తన నిర్ణయమును తెలియచేయమని సూచించెను .ప్రహ్లాదుడు తన కుమారుడిఫై మరియు తన న్యాయవ్యవస్థ ఫై సమానమైన ప్రేమకలిగినందు వలన ఆ సమస్యకు తగు నిర్ణయమును తేల్చుటకు మిక్కిలి కలవరపడెను .శ్రీ మహా లక్ష్మి కూడా ఈ విషయముపై మిక్కిలి కలత చెంది శ్రీ మహా విష్ణువును ఈ సమస్యకు పరిష్కారమును సూచించమని కోరెను ,శ్రీ మహా విష్ణువు ప్రహ్లాదుడు ఒక రాజుగా తన నిర్ణయమునకు న్యాయం చేకూర్చునని,అతని నిర్ణయము కొరకు వేచిచూడమని కోరెను .విరోచనుడి తల్లి ద్రితి తమ కుమారుడి సమస్యను పరిశీలించి తుది నిర్ణయమును ప్రకటించమని కోరగా ప్రహ్లాదుడు అందుకు కలవరపడెను.ఈ సమస్యకు ప్రహ్లాదుడు తన తది నిర్ణయమును సుధన్వుడికి అనుకూలముగా ఇవ్వవలెననెడి నిర్ణయము శ్రీ మహా విష్ణువుకు మరియు శ్రీ మహా లక్ష్మికి మిక్కిలి సంతోషమును కలుగచేశెను...

Prince Virochan meets Sudhana and asks him if his father king Prahlad had come to meet him; Sudhanwa answers in affirmative and also tells Virochan that he (Sudhanwa) has agreed to the king being the judge in their tussle for marrying Deepavali and that he has agreed to abide by the king’s decision. Virochan sympathises with him because he is sure that the decision would be in his favour; king Prahlad's love for him wouldn't allow king Prahlad to displease his son.... Prahlad’s mother Kayadhu also pleads Virochan's case with Prahlad and he (Prahlad) is perplexed because he has to choose between his love for his son and his love for justice. Goddess Laxmi is equally perplexed and she pesters Lord Vishnu to find a suitable solution to the problem. He merely says that Prahlad as a king has to do justice and that they must wait for his decision which could raise his status in the eyes of his subjects or mar his position in their eyes. Virochan's mother also pleads her son’s case and Prahlad is even more perplexed.... Prahlad decides the case in Sudhanwa's favour even Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi are pleased with his decision.
