Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was given a hero's welcome at a massive rally in Lahore on Saturday (30/5) after the completion of another nuclear test earlier in the day. The crowd chanted its approval of the government's decision to proceed with a reported five nuclear explosions on Thursday and a sixth on Saturday following two days of nuclear tests in India the previous week. In Islamabad on Sunday morning, newspapers were headlined with news of the latest test and the editorials were strongly in favour of it. Pakistanis on the street voiced their approval of the nuclear test series.
