【偕楽園梅まつり】梅の花10品種ご紹介～水戸の春は梅の花から～

120年以上の歴史を誇る「水戸の梅まつり」は、日本三名園のひとつに数えられる「偕楽園」、日本最大級の藩校「弘道館」を会場として開催されています。
偕楽園には、約100品種3,000本の梅が植えられ、香しい早春の訪れを告げてくれます。「早咲き」「中咲き」「遅咲き」と長期間にわたり観梅を楽しむことができるのも魅力です。
花の形・香り・色等が特に優れている6品種の梅を選定した水戸の六名木とは、月影、虎の尾、烈公梅、白難波、柳川枝垂、江南所無です。

Boasting a history of over 120 years, the Mito Plum Festival is held at Kairakuen, one of Japan's Three Greatest Gardens, and Kodokan, one of Japan's largest feudal schools.
Kairakuen is home to 3,000 plum trees of about 100 varieties, heralding the arrival of fragrant early spring. Another attraction is that you can enjoy viewing the plum blossoms over a long period of time, with some blooming early, some blooming mid-season, and some blooming late.
Mito's Six Famous Trees are six varieties of plum selected for their particularly outstanding flower shape, fragrance, and color: Tsukikage, Toranoo, Retsukobai, Shiranamba, Yanagawashidare, and Konanshomu.
