This one was about adding another species to the list.
Fishing near Namotu Island, Fiji, I hooked a sailfish and lost the engines almost straight away.
With no power and drifting toward a reef, there was no option to play the fish lightly. I locked the drag up and put maximum pressure on it to get control quickly.
This video shows the full fight from hookup to landing exactly how it happened. No cuts, no highlights, no skipped parts.
Sailfish officially added to the species list.
We kept the fish and ate it.
