Description:
Myelofibrosis (MF) is one of the more rare forms of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) but also the most common one to turn into acute myeloid leukemia (AML). That’s why so much research is pouring into more treatment options for MF, with clinical trials trying to test new drugs, as well as combinations.
Historically speaking, MF treatments often become an option for patients of other MPNs, like polycthemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET).
To help sort through what patients need to know, we sit down with top MPNs specialist, Dr. Ruben Mesa.
Featuring:
Dr. Ruben Mesa
Executive Director of Mays Cancer Center
Director of UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center
Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs) Specialist
In this Series: Dr. Mesa covers the latest updates focused on MPNs following the biggest blood cancer/disease conference (ASH) held at the end of 2021 that looked forward to emerging treatments studied in 2022 and beyond.
