Beatrix Potter's house at Near Sawrey, in the Lake District is open to the public most of the year. When it closes it's doors for a few months at the end of the season the staff and volunteers busily inspect, clean and record her objects in preparation of putting the house to bed for the closed season.
This is a rare insight by Cumbria's Photography by ward as to what happens during this period.
