BMW 330i Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement DIY (2019-Present BMW G20 330i, M340i, G22 430i, M440i)

►To get the performance handling and sporty ride that all BMW sedans and coupes offer, they must have healthy wheel bearings. The bearings' job is to ensure a vehicle rolls smoothly for thousands of miles, but they will eventually wear out and require replacement. Luckily, modern wheel bearings are a bolt-in affair, making a bearing replacement on your BMW G20 or G22 a very accomplishable job at home.

Wheel bearings are beefy and must withstand the road forces experienced while moving. However, the rate at which they wear depends on the environment in which they're driven. Even modern bearings can fail as early as 30,000, though many will eclipse triple that figure. Signs for worn wheel bearings include a humming, howling, vibration, or poor steering feel from the affected corner. While you can continue to drive on a worn bearing for a while, leaving it for too long can have catastrophic consequences.
