Patoli is a sweet which is made with rice , a rice dumpling which is steamed in turmeric, cinnamon leaves or banana leaf. Here we need to make thick batter from rice or semolina & to spread on any of above mentioned leaf then filled with sweet coconut fillings. Leaves are folded & steamed for 10 -15 minutes. This recipe is prepared in costal Karnataka during gouri pooja, ganesh chaturthi and nagarapanchami
