A best cake for those who likes dry cakes.
A very simple, easy and yummy recipe, you can make it on stove without oven in any of your pot, results will be amazing InShaAllah
So let's get started with
Pan base ingredients:
Butter approximately 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
Almonds quantity depends on you how you wanna decorate (cut into 2 halfs)
Take 6”baking pan ,rub butter in base & all the sides. Arange almonds in circles.
Sprinkle brown sugar on base & all sides very well.
your base is ready, set it aside.
For cake batter:
Butter 100 gms or 4 tbsp heaped
powdered sugar 150 gms Or 3/4 cup
Plain flour (maida) 100 gms or 1 cup
Fine chopped almonds 50gms 3 to 4 tbsp (with skin)
Baking powder 2 tsp
Eggs 3 room temperature
Almond essence 1/2 tsp (If you don’t have almond essence use Vanilla essence as a substitute) I also used vanilla
Sieve flour & baking powder in a bowl,add crushed almonds & keep aside .
Beat butter & caster sugar very well till it become creamy & fluffy.
Add eggs one by one & beat continuously.
Add essence.
Now mix in flour & almond mixture at low speed.
Pour this batter in pepared pan & bake in a pre heated oven at 180’C for 35 to 40 mintues or till full done.
BAKING IN POT
Take a pot or pateli, put it on stove, place a stand or any steel bowl to give your baking pan a hight from the base of the pot.
cover with lid and on your flame on high for 10 minutes then on low 🔥 for 20 to 25 minutes.
put cake pan on the stand that we placed in the pot cover the pot and let it bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until skewer cones out clean.
cool cake in pan for 10 to 15 minutes then remove from pan on wire wrack.
