Der Herr ist meine Stärke und mein Lobgesang, und mein Heil.
Das ist mein Gott, ich will ihn preisen;
Er ist meines Vaters Gott, ich will ihn erheben.
Herr, wer ist dir gleich unter den Göttern,
Der so mächtig, so heilig, so schrecklich, so löblich, so wundertätig ist?
Ich will dem Herren singen mein Leben lang
Und meinen Gott loben so lang ich hie bin.
English:
The Lord is my strength and my song, my song and my salvation.
He is my God; I will praise him;
He is the God of my fathers; I will exalt him.
Lord, who is like thee, among the gods,
Who is so powerful, so holy, so fearsome, so praiseworthy, so miraculous?
I will sing unto the Lord,
Unto the Lord I will sing my whole life long:
And praise my God as long as I am here.
