The second of the basic strikes in lightsaber combat: Cho.
Cho Strikes are the most common of strikes. They are similar to sai strikes but without the follow through. They are the backbone of Shii-Cho (the style being named for the technique)
Cho strikes are simple and direct. They should be done quickly and decisively.
Cho strikes are most often made at the limbs in attempts to sever or disarm the opponent. The marks of contact for cho strikes include:
Cho sun: sever the limb near the torso
Cho mok: sever the limb at the joint (knee or elbow in bipeds)
Cho Mai: sever the hand (most often the weapon hand)
Mou kei: to sever the limbs at the torso but most often refers to cutting off the legs
Any target zone can be hit with cho strikes.
The acceleration exercises are similar to the ones for sai. There are two types; falling and rising.
