Originally named Liyuan, also known as Yiyuan, Eling Park was built in 1909 by Li Yaoting, the first president of the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce, initially as his private villa, "Eling Villa," before being converted into a park.
The park features the Liangjiang Pavilion, offering panoramic views of the Yuzhong Peninsula, the Yangtze River, and the Jialing River.
