This '76 Chevy El Camino Classic was sitting in a friend's garage, abandoned and ignored. He no longer had any interest in working on it. I saw it still had great potential to be a cheap daily driver, so we made a deal, and I brought it home.
In this update, I add gauges, wire up the tach that was in the car, fix the intake manifold's oil leak, replace a leaky master cylinder and wheel cylinders, service the 10 bolt differential, add some chrome valve covers that were included in the car, and get new tires and wheels.
Will it be reliable enough to drive everyday? Follow along as I make the attempt.
