Honeymoon Period | CDE Exam Tips

Welcome to the channel!
In this video we cover the topic of the Honeymoon Period.
The honeymoon period is a common phase that those with T1DM go through shortly after diagnosis. During this phase it seems as though the diabetes has gone into remission. The pancreas is still able to produce enough insulin to maintain BG levels. BUT… this is only temporary. The honeymoon period may last weeks, months or years and will vary with each individual. Eventually as the disease progresses, injectable insulin will be required in order to keep BG levels in range.
