Meige — Gezi the God Creates Heaven and Earth. Meige is a form of folk literature passed down among the Yi communities in Yao’an County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Meige outlines the ancient historical development of the Yi people, the production, labor, and social life of their ancestors, and also reflects their customs related to love, marriage, funerals, and kinship. This passage of Meige tells the legend of Gezi, the Heavenly God, who created the heaven and the earth.
梅葛——格滋天神造天地梅葛是云南省楚雄彝族自治州姚安县彝族聚居区流传的民间文学形式，梅葛勾画了彝族古代发展历史、彝族先民生产劳动和社会生活的轮廓，展示了古代彝族先民的恋爱、婚事、丧葬、怀亲等风俗。这段梅葛讲述了“格滋天神”创造天地的传说
