6 Ex British Army Soldiers escort to the colour. The first time in the history of the Metropolitan Police Service that the escort to the Service Colours were all ex British servicemen. A moment in history indeed.
The Colour party were ex Queen's Regiment, Grenadier Guards, Blues & Royals, Royal Corps of Signals, Parachute Regiment. This video is indeed a moment in time and something that you will see less of as time slips by. It shows that to have pride in one's appearance is not a bad thing, it's not wrong to be smart and to show the ability to be disciplined and exact. We need, as humans to be able to bond and to be part of a team, you can still be an individual within a team and be able to express yourself freely. If society stamps out this sort of things because it's not the way forward, then I'm afraid we will lose a little part of what makes us human. In my humble opinion.
