Replaced the rear shock absorbers in my Ford Crown Victoria P71 police interceptor (process should be similar in all Crown Vic models). This is definitely one of the easiest DIY projects. Just need a jack, jack stand, some sockets, pliers, a screwdriver, a torque wrench, and some thread locker.

0:00 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor P71
0:24 switching mine to Monroe 550055 Gas-Magnum 65 towing shocks
0:45 the process for changing shocks (newer Vics are easy)
1:37 prep the new shocks before installation
2:11 jack up the vehicle (tire removal is optional but does make it easier)
2:40 penetrating oil on the top nut makes removal easier
3:05 top nut removal (need to secure the shock so it does not spin)
3:20 lower mounting bolt removal
4:00 old shock easy to remove
4:06 new shock fits in easily
