One of the most damaging and lasting ways childhood trauma impacts us is by creating a deep lack of self-trust. I’ve often said that rebuilding our ability to trust ourselves may be the longest part of the healing journey.

And, there are myriad ways a lack of self-trust shows up in our lives. From little microcurrents of doubt to the relationships we choose… or don’t, and how we live our lives in small and big moments.
