The UN agency for refugees, UNHCR, says more than 40,000 people have fled into neighbouring South Sudan due to the conflict in Sudan. International mediators are working to set up humanitarian corridors for those fleeing the violence, including returning South Sudanese nationals who had emigrated north to escape civil war in their own country. I filmed the BBC’s Catherine Byaruhanga from the border town of Renk.
