Day 2 and hike #2 of my Eastern Sierras hiking adventure back in August 2022. This time, I do a very challenging but extremely beautiful hike. The Virginia Lakes Trail is one that I personally label as hard. I extended the hike slightly all the way to Hoover Lakes. It came to about 9 miles round trip and roughly 2,329 ft of elevation gain. I absolutely loved this hike because you were constantly passing extremely gorgeous lakes along the way. If you are an experienced hiker in pretty decent shape, I would highly recommend doing this trail when visiting the Eastern Sierras.
