Wilhelm Foundation together with Karolinska UDP & PhenoTips arranged the world's first Undiagnosed Hackathon in 2023 to try to find new ways to help undiagnosed patients get a diagnosis
Genome sequencing can provide answers for many families, but around 60% of patients still don't receive a diagnosis. The first Undiagnosed Hackathon brought together around 100 global experts in genetics and bioinformatics from 28 countries to tackle complex unsolved cases in new ways, while raising awareness for undiagnosed diseases.
