Imagine my surprise when I unboxed my new chrome "Batwing" air cleaner and found it wouldn't fit my 350 V-8 in my 1955 Chevy wagon. The problem is that there's insufficient clearance between the rear of the air cleaner and my Port Engineering windshield wiper motor. The air cleaner arrives with clearance for an HEI distributor, but not to clear the aftermarket wiper motor. Here's my solution, and how my new air cleaner looks installed!
