DIY Pallet Bird House
In this weeks episode of Sustainable(ish) Sunday we are making and painting a bird box made from an old pallet! We found the perfect template on RSPB website.
We had an old pallet around the house so decided to re-use it and make something new.

How big does the hole need to be?
The entrance hole size depends on the species you hope to attract:
-25 mm for blue, coal and marsh tits
-28 mm for great tits, tree sparrows and pied flycatchers
-32 mm for house sparrows and nuthatches
-45 mm for starlings.
You can buy a pre-made bird house and paint it with the kids.
