FREE Camping in NSW | New England Tablelands | Forster to THUNDERBOLTS WAY!

Welcome back to another episode!

We kick off this trip by setting up camp at the stunning Ruins Campground, nestled between rugged cliffs and peaceful desert plains. This hidden gem offers the perfect blend of solitude and scenery, making it an ideal base for the adventures ahead.

From camp, we embark on a scenic 30-minute hike in search of Foster's Fairy Pools-a breathtaking rockpool tucked within the headland. After soaking in the beauty there, we hit the road once again, journeying along the legendary Thunderbolts Way from Glouceser to Walch as it winds through the awe-inspiring New England Tablelands in our trusty Vacationer Caravan. This road is well-known among motorbike touring communities, and we were excited to take on the challenge of towing our 19'9" caravan up its steady, winding climb.

Along the way, we discover tranquil free camping spots, scenic winding mountain roads, and cap off the journey with a visit to the spectacular Apsley Falls in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, hidden deep in the Aussie bush.

This trip is the perfect escape for nature lovers, road trippers, and anyone chasing the freedom of the open road.
