주제 : LLM Technical Choices and Strategy: Lessons from Olmo 3
본 발표에서는 2025년 11월 AI2가 공개한 완전 개방형 모델 Olmo 3를 소개하고 그들의 연구 전략을 분석합니다. Olmo 3는 모델의 가중치뿐만 아니라 데이터, 코드, 학습 로그까지 전 과정을 투명하게 공개하였고, 제한된 자원을 효율적으로 사용하여 영어 벤치마크에서 Qwen 3 등 최상위 오픈소스 모델과 대등한 성능을 달성하였습니다. 본 세션에서는 LLM 연구자의 관점에서 본 Olmo 3의 데이터, 모델 및 강화학습 전략을 분석 및 토의하는 시간을 갖습니다.
In this presentation, we introduce Olmo 3, a fully open model released by AI2 in November 2025, and analyze their research strategy. Olmo 3 has transparently disclosed its entire process—including not only model weights but also data, code, and training logs—and has achieved performance comparable to top-tier open-source models like Qwen 3 on English benchmarks by efficiently utilizing limited resources. In this session, we will analyze and discuss Olmo 3’s data, model, and reinforcement learning strategies from the perspective of an LLM researcher.
