Wife Stops Forest Fire – SECURITY Sends Us Packing!

From Fire Hero to Campsite Zero
My wife saves the day, then we’re out.

One minute, we’re deep in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, putting out an abandoned campfire before it can torch the forest. Before we can even settle in, security rolls up and tells us to move along.

This is Part 2 of our July 2025 BRTN trip — after camping at the Mouth of the Two Hearted River in Part 1, we head to Lake Michigan for some off-grid boondocking… and it doesn’t go as planned. Between saving the forest, getting kicked out, finding new campsites, fishing for perch, and cooking up ribeye, ribs, and fresh-caught fish over the fire, this day had it all.
