This is something that most people will never have to do but we've been abusing this locomotive for years and we finally caught the traction motors on fire by overloading it two years ago. This isn't our primary locomotive, so fixing it was not a very high priority.
I finally did get around to fixing it, though! You can view the teardown video here
This video is part 2, where we replace the traction motors.
The Plum Cove Studios Generic Electric is a 4 wheel dual motor battery electric locomotive that is small enough to put in the back of a compact car, so you can take it to other tracks to enjoy and meet other people. It weighs about 150-lbs, which means most people can lift it with the help of another able bodied person.
