Nujeen Mustafa is a Syrian refugee, youth advocate, and a vocal supporter of children with disabilities through her work with the UN Refugee Agency.
At just 16, she undertook a 3,500-mile journey from Syria to Germany in a steel wheelchair. Born with cerebral palsy, Nujeen spent much of her early life in an apartment in Aleppo, where she taught herself English by watching television.
Her resilience and positivity in the face of immense hardship have made her a powerful symbol of hope in a global refugee crisis often stripped of its human stories. Now based in Germany, Nujeen continues to share her extraordinary journey and inspire audiences worldwide.
